Hi there and welcome to sci-tastic!
I’m Kelly. I’m a scientist and a recent PhD graduate from Purdue University. I received my degree from the Department of Chemistry and my work was focused on understanding how nanomaterials interact with biological environments. For more information about my qualifications, please see the credentials tab in the menu.
During my time in graduate school, like many grad students, I spent a great deal of my time not only learning to communicate my own research to a myriad of audiences, but also new research published in scientific journals. This practice has sparked my interest in science writing and advocacy and has given me experience in communicating science to my peers as well as the general public.
Science communication and understanding of new scientific advances are of utmost importance for the future of our planet. Here on this blog, I hope to summarize new scientific articles in order to convey the message of the advances in our field.
